Thief of time

Thief of Time is the fifth and final Death novel in Terry Pratchett's Discworld series.

Most of the inhabitants of Discworld, like all of us, always lack time, as well as knowledge and understanding of history. So it's a good thing that there are historical monks who keep the world from going wrong and, if necessary, patch and stitch together eras. However, Diskosvit finds itself in danger, when an advanced watchmaker is ordered to make a perfectly accurate watch. Who knows what will happen if you run it. In order to save the world, the cunning monastery sweeper Lu-Tze and his all-too-gifted student Lobsang Ludd take on the task - as it turns out, there is simply no better company to help stop time.
