George Orwell (real name Eric Arthur Blair) is an English novelist, essayist, journalist and critic. Orwell explores the themes of media control, government surveillance, totalitarianism and how a dictator can manipulate and control history, thought and life in such a way that not a single living soul can escape the watchful eye of Big Brother.
